Fast Track Orientation Program
For New Graduates and Re-entry Nurses:
Our Fast Track orientation program is part of a broader concept of clinical career mapping in which your satisfaction in your specialty of nursing is highly valued.
Fast track is an opportunity for new and re-entry nurses to orient to medical-surgical nursing, with a declared interest in moving to a specialty area once experience is gained and competency is achieved. Through a close working relationship with your assigned preceptor, you will develop critical thinking skills. Your role development will be assessed on an individualized basis to determine you readiness to move to your specialty of choice. The time spent in this learning process is variable, depending upon your experience and learning.
Beyond the Fast Track Program, you may map your career in nursing to include staying within Medical Surgical nursing or moving to a specialty of choice. When you desire a change in specialty, the managers and directors work together to facilitate that move.
